Monte Pana high plateau, which lies to the south of Santa Cristina, attracts outdoor lovers with a variety of excursions suiting all tastes and preferences.
Surrounded by picturesque scenery, in winter Monte Pana offers 30km of excellent cross-country-skiing trails, ski pistes and winter hiking paths leading as far as Alpe di Siusi.
In summer hikers and nature enthusiasts can walk along countless circuits. A bus service takes leisurely walkers from Monte Pana to Alpe di Siusi, where they can continue their outing. Monte Pana can be reached year-round by lift or car from Santa Cristina. There is a large car park on Monte Pana free of charge.
For families with children Monte Pana is a real highlight. There is a huge children’s playground. Moreover, in summer children may enjoy pony trekking and in winter they can have fun tobogganing. Enticing excursions right at our doorstep await you – at Monte Pana.
Val d’Anna, a great place with a great many outdoor opportunities, meets Val Gardena in Ortisei. Offering a wide range of marvellous walks and hikes, extensive walks through woods and meadows and various cycling paths, it is an ideal destination for families.
A beautiful hiking path, about 1.5km long, runs through a wood leading to the Val d’Anna mountain restaurant. The Seceda ski run passes right next to the restaurant. The Val d’Anna valley holds interesting activities for every active holidaymaker. From Ortisei Val d’Anna extends in the direction of Seceda and Rasciesa.
In Vallunga you will find a wide variety of hiking paths and cross-country-skiing trails. Vallunga lies in the Puez-Odle Nature Reserve, north-west to Selva di Val Gardena.
Majestic mountains like Stevia and Kedul flank the valley to the left and right. At the entrance of the narrow 4-km valley there are two quaint mountain huts. Vallunga is a truly pleasurable and relaxing experience for nature enthusiasts.
In summer the Seceda mountain pasture is ideal for walks and hikes for the whole family and for climbing tours as well. In winter it is a haven for great downhill skiing and snowboarding.
The Seceda-Col Raiser ski circuit lies at the foot of the Cisles-Odle Nature Reserve. The ski circuit offers ski runs from 2,500m to 1,200m (Ortisei) and 1,500m (Santa Cristina) above sea level including descents all the way down to the valley floor.
On the peak you can soak up the unique view of the Dolomites with the Sella Massif, Sassolungo and the South Tyrolean mountain range as far as the mountains of Trentino, Lombardia and Austria.
